The organization

Boston Medical Center is an academic medical center affiliated with Boston University and the largest safety-net hospital and Level 1 trauma center in New England with over 4,900 full time employees including staff, nurses, physicians, fellows and residents.

The ask

The center’s site was previously organized by department and information type rather than from a user-centric perspective. Through user research, information architecture, and design, iFactory updated the site to prioritize critical and most-used features, such as directories and other key services. The new, mobile-response site is also easier for employees to access while on the go.
